Powertrain
The CX-90’s plug-in hybrid system consists of a 68-kW e-Skyactiv electric motor and a 2.5L Skyactiv-G 2.5L inline-4. Together, they can produce a total of 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque—good for an admirable 0 to 60 time of around six seconds. Completing the powertrain is an 8-speed automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode. With an EPA-rated fuel economy of 56 MPGe combined, the vehicle is sure to be easy on the wallet.
Thanks to a 17.8-kWh lithium-ion battery, the CX-90 can operate solely through electric power and has a range of up to 26 miles without needing to rely on the gas engine. When plugged into a Level 1 (120-volt) outlet, the battery charges from 20% to 80% in well under seven hours. An available Level 2 (240-volt) charger can do the same job in just 90 minutes.
All-Wheel Drive System
Every CX-90 model is equipped with Mazda’s i-Activ AWD, a capable system that maximizes traction in a variety of conditions while preserving the vehicle’s sporty handling through its rear-biased power delivery. Using a number of sensors placed throughout the CX-90, i-Activ AWD is able to monitor driver inputs, outside temperatures, and even how slippery the road is. This enables the system to distribute the ideal amount of torque.
Passenger Cabin
The cabin also has a sophisticated and streamlined design, allowing you to focus on the drive. For instance, the driver’s seating position provides a commanding view of your surroundings, and the vehicle’s user-friendly controls are always within easy reach.

While the Preferred and Premium trims are fitted with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, the Premium Plus gets a 12.3-inch display.
