The Mazda CX-30 is a brand new Mazda design hitting the market this year. This small SUV is loaded with power, capability, luxury, and comfort. There are four different trim levels available, so which one is right for you? Here’s what you need to know.

CX-30

The base trim is simply the Mazda CX-30. Be careful not to write this trim off just because it’s the base option. Many of its standard features would only be available on upper trim levels made by other manufacturers. Every trim level comes with the same engine under the hood, a 186-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with Mazda’s SkyActiv-G design. Paired with a six-speed automatic sport transmission, this engine gets smooth power when you need it and offers a sport mode for added responsiveness.

Other standard features you’ll enjoy with the base trim include LED exterior lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, power-folding side mirrors, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside the all-new CX-30, you’ll find an eight-speaker audio system, a push-button start, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8.8-inch touch screen with Mazda’s voice-command capable infotainment system.

Front-wheel drive is standard with every CX-30 trim, but all-wheel drive is available. The available i-ACTIV all-wheel-drive system with off-road traction assistance prepares this SUV for adventurous driving and poor weather conditions. This intelligent system automatically monitors the road and each wheel’s grip and sends power and brake force to individual wheels for ideal handling. Safety systems like lane-departure warnings, automatic high beams, and driver attention alerts are all standard with this base trim.

Select

Step up to the Select trim for several added features inside and out. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts is added to the Select trim for even more peace-of-mind while on the road. Passengers throughout the car will appreciate a dual-zone automatic climate control system with rear adjustable air vents and leather-trimmed seating. Additional exterior features include side-mirror integrated turn signals and 18-inch wheels. Smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also come with the Select trim.

Preferred

Choose the Preferred trim and enjoy some added creature comforts including heated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and illuminated vanity mirrors. The exterior features of the Preferred trim add some unique touches like a gloss-black front grille and a shark-fin antenna. A 12-speaker premium Bose sound system is one of the most exciting upgrades of the Preferred trim option.

Premium

The Premium trim option comes with all the bells and whistles added to the already amazing CX-30. Every drive is a thrill with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. Signature LED exterior lighting comes with adaptive front lights that can project around corners as you turn. A windshield-projected active driving display projects important information on the windshield in front of the driver in full color. Loading cargo is made easier with a rear power liftgate that allows you to program its height to your preference.
