In a sea of compact SUVs, there’s one that rises above most others: the 2021 Mazda CX-5. With its sporty look, luxurious interior, and list of standard options, this vehicle checks many of the boxes. Let’s take a closer look at what it has to offer.

But if you’re looking to move a little faster, there’s an optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine that cranks out 227 horsepower. That’s more than enough power to comfortably pass or merge onto a freeway. It also comes with a six-speed automatic tranny.

3. Fuel Economy

With its base engine and front-wheel drive, EPA estimates put the CX-5 at 25 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. That’s better than many others in its class. The turbocharged version comes in at 23 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.
