There are seven days of the week, seven wonders of the ancient world, seven colors of the rainbow, seven phases of the moon, and seven safety features of the 2024 Mazda CX-50 that we want to introduce to you.
Airbags and Impact Safety
The Mazda CX-50 is full of airbags. The dual-front airbags with seatbelt use and passenger weight sensors will protect the driver’s and passenger’s heads if the car is involved in a frontal collision. There is also a driver and front passenger knee airbag to protect the lower extremities. Side-impact airbags and side-impact air curtains with rollover protection will protect occupant’s torsos and heads in the event of a rollover or side impact.
Braking System
The CX-50 is equipped with brake assist and electronic brake force distribution. Brake assist determines if enough force is placed on the braking system to stop in time to avoid a collision or hitting an object and applies additional pressure to compensate. Electronic brake force distribution helps maintain vehicle control and lessens the stopping distance when there is a heavy load on the rear wheels.
Stability Control
Dynamic stability control helps the driver maintain control in hazardous driving conditions. It controls braking and engine power to help control slipping and loss of traction and stability.
Stop and Go Cruise Control
The CX-50 has an adaptive cruise control system that adjusts and keeps a safe distance from cars in front of it. It also helps the driver know how close they are to the vehicle in front by displaying the following distance.
Alerts and Monitoring
The 2024 CX-50 has many monitoring systems that help keep the driver alert while driving, including blind-spot monitoring which provides visual and auditory alerts of a vehicle in its blind spot. There is also the rear-cross traffic and driver attention alert, lane departure warning system, emergency lane keeping, and road keep assist.
i-Activ AWD System
Mazda has developed an all-wheel-drive system for the CX-50 that constantly monitors road conditions and compensates for variations in wheel speed that a driver would not feel. The system controls torque distribution, ranging from front drive to 4-wheel drive, providing predictable handling and an efficient drive.
Anti-theft Protection
The CX-50 has a theft-deterrent system that can detect unauthorized vehicle entry. If the system detects this, it will sound the horn and flash the hazard warning lights.
