Performance

Under the hood, the new Mazda CX-5 comes with your choice of a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV ® -G engine that produces 187-horsepower, or an all-new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder SKYACTIV ® -G engine that produces 250-horsepower. Both engines get paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and the standard engine can either be combined with standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive, while the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine is only paired with all-wheel drive, allowing you to take on poor weather conditions around Cranston, Warwick, Narragansett, and Wakefield, RI with complete confidence.
