Mazda MX-5 Miata

The Miata is offered in Sport, Club, and Grand Touring trims. Sport models feature LED headlights, daytime running lights, an aluminum hood and trunk lid, color-keyed bumpers and door handles, keyless entry, metallic black 16-inch alloy wheels, black power door mirrors, LED taillights, and a black cloth soft top that features a glass window and one-step, one-handed opening. Club trim adds LED daytime running lights, a black front air dam, and a black rear lip spoiler. The top-of-the-line Grand Touring trim offers adaptive front lighting, automatic headlights, 17-inch dark silver wheels, color-keyed heated door mirrors with auto-dimming driver's side mirror, and a trunk light.

Powering all Miatas is a lively and responsive 181-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 151 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. In addition to a significant increase in horsepower, it also has a redline uprated to 7,500 rpm. It's paired with either a six-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shifter or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

The uprated engine, along with the rigid but lightweight construction of the Miata,provides an exhilarating driving performance. It can accelerate you from zero to 60 mph in less than six seconds. The Miata offers accomplished highway cruising, but it's on the twisty back roads where it really shows off its stability and nimble cornering prowess. Even with this performance, you can still achieve up to 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Club models with the manual transmission have sport-tuned suspension, Bilstein shocks, limited slip differential, and an engine noise enhancer. These features are available for manual Grand Touring models through the GT-S package.

Inside the Sport trim, you'll find black cloth bucket seats, a leather-bound shift knob and steering wheel, a tilt and telescoping steering column, air conditioning, push-button start, cruise control, a 12-volt power outlet, and a mesh aero board wind blocker. The Mazda Connect infotainment system features voice command, Bluetooth capability, a multifunction commander control, a 7-inch full-color touch screen, USB and auxiliary inputs, and six-speaker audio with HD radio and internet radio integration. Club models offer red accent stitching, heated seats, a leather-bound parking brake handle, and a Bose nine-speaker sound system with satellite radio. Grand Touring features leather-trimmed seating, automatic climate control, and an integrated navigation system.

The Sport trim has front and side impact air bags, side impact door beams, a rearview camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Club trim adds blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Stepping up to the Grand Touring trim gets you smart city brake support, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition. All the driver assistance features of the Grand Touring are available for the Sport and Club models with the i-ActivSense package.
