2023 Mazda CX-50

The 2023 CX-50 is available in 10 trim levels: 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Preferred Plus, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 S Premium Plus, 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition, 2.5 Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus. This vehicle has a large grille with the Mazda symbol in the center, a sculpted hood, 8.3 to 8.6 inches of ground clearance, automatic LED headlights, and daytime running lights. You'll also get rain-sensing windshield wipers, a rear wiper and washer, a rear spoiler, dual exhaust, 17-inch wheels, and turn signals for the side mirrors. You can also add a windshield wiper de-icer, a programmable power liftgate, and 18- or 20-inch wheels. Heated, power-folding, and auto-dimming side mirrors with memory settings are available as well.

The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine can deactivate some cylinders when they're not needed, conserving fuel. This unit produces 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. There's also a turbocharged version that makes 256 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque with premium fuel. The six-speed transmission has automatic and manual modes.

The 2023 Mazda CX-50 comes with all-wheel drive and normal, sport, and off-road driving modes. You can add a towing mode as well. Braking assistance, electronic power steering, and an independent suspension are standard. This SUV can tow up to 3,500 pounds, and it can travel 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

The interior of the new Mazda CX-50 has a sleek look, and the materials were inspired by outdoor gear like climbing backpacks and hiking boots. The cabin also has plenty of luxurious features. You'll get speed-sensitive power door locks, keyless entry, push-button start, two 12-volt power outlets, and an 8.8-inch color display. An eight-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, voice recognition software, and audio and cruise control buttons on the steering wheel are standard as well. With the rear seats folded down, the CX-50 has 56.3 square feet of cargo space. Other optional features include dual-zone climate control, a power-sliding panoramic sunroof, an overhead sunglasses holder, an eight-way power driver's seat with lumber support, and a leather-wrapped gear shifter and steering wheel. You can also choose heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 10.25-inch color display, wireless charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Bose 12-speaker surround sound system. Pandora internet radio, navigation, an ambient temperature display, and a windshield-projected Active Driving Display are available as well.

A variety of safety features protect you and your passengers. You'll get dynamic stability control, traction control, hill start assistance, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane-keeping assistance. The 2023 CX-50 also comes with a security system with an engine immobilizer, a rearview camera, and driver attention alert. You can add on traffic sign recognition, a 360-degree camera system, and front and rear parking sensors.
