2022 Mazda CX-5 vs Toyota RAV4

The 2022 Mazda CX-5 and the 2022 Toyota RAV4 are two of the most popular SUVs on the market. Both options are appealing, but one vehicle just proves to be the better choice.

Powertrain

The 2022 Mazda CX-5 comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder base engine. This engine can generate 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. It also pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, for greater power, you can upgrade the CX-5 with a 2.5-liter Dynamic Pressure turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard across the CX-5 lineup.

On the other hand, all-wheel drive is only available as an upgrade with the 2022 Toyota RAV4. Additionally, the RAV4 is only available with one gas engine option. A 2.5-liter inline-four engine powers the SUV, which generates 203 horsepower, 184 pound-feet of torque, and pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Infotainment

If you're interested in modern infotainment, you may be pleased to know the 2022 CX-5 comes standard with a large 10.25-inch display that works alongside two USB ports, a four-speaker stereo system, HD Radio, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Mazda Connected Services, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The 2022 RAV4 also offers some of these infotainment features, such as a Wi-Fi hot spot, a USB port, and Bluetooth, but the standard display is only 7 inches in size. HD Radio, additional USB ports, and a larger screen are only available as upgrades.

The market is competitive when it comes to compact SUVs, but the Mazda CX-5 comes out on top. The eye-catching vehicle offers thrilling performance and impressive infotainment features that can meet your needs.
