Engines

Both the 2022 CX-30 and 2022 Crosstrek are available with multiple engine options. The CX-30 has a 2.5-liter inline-four engine under the hood, but a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-4 engine is an optional upgrade. The standard engine is capable of 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while the more powerful engine generates 227 to 250 horsepower and 310 to 320 pound-feet of torque, depending on the fuel used.

Meanwhile, the Crosstrek can be powered by either a 2.0-liter flat-four engine or a 2.5-liter flat-four engine. However, the Crosstrek can only produce up to 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque with the most powerful engine option.

Technology

If you're interested in modern infotainment, both SUVs have something to offer. An 8.8-inch display sits on the dashboard of the Mazda CX-30, which works with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The car also features a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot, dual USB ports, HD Radio, and an eight-speaker sound system.

The Subaru Crosstrek also comes with a touch screen, but it is only 6.5 inches in size. This screen is also compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth, but features like HD Radio and a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot don't come standard.

The 2022 Mazda CX-30 is made with you and your family in mind. While the Subaru Crosstrek is accommodating, the CX-30 pulls out all of the stops.
